- Alpha waves (8-12 Hz) occur during relaxation or light meditation. This state is prevalent when we wake up, right before we sleep, or when artists create their best work ,they often describe it as being “in the zone”. It is a time of peak creativity.
- Theta waves (4-8 Hz) are present during deep meditation or REM sleep.
- Delta waves (0.5-4 Hz) are the slowest, occurring during deep, dreamless sleep.
By using sound healing tools we can alter our brainwaves from an alert state (beta waves) to a more relaxed or meditative state (alpha or theta waves).
